GETTING STARTED

The user manual explains everything you need to knowabout your new AXIS Watch.     

REGISTERING 

Important:  To take full advantage of your AXIS Watch, it is recommended that you register your device. Registration is required for device updates, course updates and warranty purposes. You are able to register your AXIS Watch using a smartphone via the MGI & Sureshot mobile application. The smartphone mobile app can be downloaded for free from the Apple Store and/or Google Play store for iPhone and Android devices, respectively. 


1.     Download the MGI & Sureshot mobile application.

2.     Launch the MGI & Sureshot mobile application.

3.     Select REGISTER.

4.     Enter your personal details as prompted and confirmagreement to terms and conditions.

5.     Upon confirmation of your account, you will be promptedto ADD your AXIS Watch. You willneed the serial number located on the back of your 
  watch to complete registration.

6.     If your device does not register successfully, retrysteps 1 to 3. If the problem persists, contact Sureshot Support.


NOTE: A user has the ability to CONTINUE AS A GUEST as long as they provide a valid serial number for theirdevice. This will allow you to accessmobile app functions like course updates and software updates, but does not create an account or register your device for warranty purposes.

SERIAL NUMBER

Your AXIS Watch will have a sticker with serial number onthe outer package and on the product (see below). These serial numbers are usedto ensure you are purchasing the unit from an authorized dealer. If you areunable to locate this sticker or if the serial number has been obscured, theproduct may not be authentic (counterfeit) or it may not have been purchasedthrough an authorized dealer. In either case, Sureshot will not honourwarranties on these products. You should return the unit to the seller for arefund, and purchase your AXISWatch from an alternateauthorised location.

BUTTON CONFIGURATION (TIME MODE / PLAY GOLF MODE)

TURN ON / OFF


To turn on your AXIS Watch:

1.     Hold down the top left button for 5 seconds.

2.     Release the top left button.

3.     The watch will then turn on after completing the“Powering Up” sequence.


To turn off your AXISWatch:

1.     Hold down the top left button for 5 seconds.

2.     Release the top left button.

3.     The watch will then turn off.

NOTE: Turning off your AXIS Watch will reset the date and time.

CHARGING

It is important to charge your watch fully before a roundof golf. Use the charging clip supplied to charge your AXIS Watch. Charge yourdevice using a computer USB port, a powered USB hub, or smartphone AC chargeronly. Your watch is fully charged when the battery animation displays 100%.Disconnect the device from the charger once the charge is full.

To charge your AXISWatch:

1.     Plug the USB into a USBcharging port.

2.     Connect the charger to thewatch so the charging pins touch the watches charging plates.

3.     Charge the device until the batteryanimation displays 100%.

NOTE: If charging via a computer USB port, ensure yousafely eject the device before removing it from the USB port.

CHANGING LANGUAGES

Your AXIS Watch comes equipped with 6 different languagesettings to select from:

-         ENGLISH

-         FRANÇAIS

-         ESPAÑOL

-         ITALIANO

-         DEUTSCHE

-         PORTUGUESE

NOTE: Golf coursenames will always remain in English.

 

To switch the language of your AXIS Watch:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SETTINGS > LANGUAGE.

2.     Highlight the new language.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save change.

SETTING THE TIME 

You can set the date & time manually or by GPS(recommended).

To set the date & time on your AXIS Watch (BY GPS):

1.     The AXIS Watch must be in an open, outdoor area.

2.     Go to the MAINMENU > SETTINGS > TIME/DATE> SET TIME/DATE

3.     Choose BY GPS.

4.     The AXIS Watch will automatically update the date andtime based on your region.


To set the date & time on your AXIS Watch (MANUALLY):

1.      Go to the MAIN MENU > SETTINGS > TIME/DATE > SET TIME/DATE

2.      Select MANUALLY.

3.      Enter the date and time using the (➕➖) buttons.

4.      Press the SELECT button to save change.


To change Daylight Savings on your AXIS Watch:

1.     Go to the MAINMENU > SETTINGS > TIME/DATE> DAYLIGHT

2.     Choose ON or OFF, this will adjust the time by ± 1hour.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save change.


To change the Time Format on your AXIS Watch:

1.     Go to the MAINMENU > SETTINGS > TIME/DATE> FORMAT > TIME FORMAT

2.     Choose 12-HOUR or 24-HOUR.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save change.


To change the Date Format on your AXIS Watch:

1.     Go to the MAINMENU > SETTINGS > TIME/DATE> FORMAT > DATE FORMAT

2.     Choose DD/MM/YY or MM/DD/YY.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save change.

MGI & SURESHOT APP

The AXIS Watch can be connected to a smartphone via the MGI& Sureshot mobile application. By connecting your AXIS Watch to yoursmartphone, you can register your device for warranty purposes, update coursedata or update your devices software.

To connect your AXIS Watch to the MGI & Sureshotmobile application:

1.     Ensure your smartphones BLUETOOTH is turned on.

2.     On the AXIS Watch, go to the MAIN MENU > BLUETOOTH > ON.

3.     Launch the MGI & Sureshot mobile application.

4.     Log in or register as prompted by the app.

5.     On the MGI & Sureshot app home screen, press PAIR DEVICE.

1.     The watch will display a numerical code. Enter this codeinto the app as instructed.

2.     Once paired correctly, your smartphone app will display aconfirmation.

3.     If the device does not pair, retry steps 1 to 6. If theproblem persists, contact Sureshot Support.


Note: Bluetooth functions only work when connected via the MGI & Sureshot mobile application. If you struggle with a proper connection, 

be sure to uninstall and reinstall the mobile app and ensure your AXIS Watch has access to your smartphones Bluetooth.

UPDATING DEVICE SOFTWARE

The AXIS Watch can be connected to a smartphone via the MGI& Sureshot mobile application.
By connecting your AXIS Watch to your smartphone, you can update your devicesoftware.

1.     Ensure your smartphones BLUETOOTH is on.

2.     On the AXIS Watch, go to the MAIN MENU > BLUETOOTH > ON.

3.     Launch the MGI & Sureshot app.

4.     Enter your details as prompted by the app.

5.     On the MGI & Sureshot app home screen, press PAIR DEVICE.

6.     The watch will display a numerical code. Enter this codeinto the app as instructed.

7.     Once paired correctly, your smartphone app will display aconfirmation.

8.     On the MGI & Sureshot app home screen, press UPDATE DEVICE.

9.     The MGI & Sureshot app will automatically update the AXISWatch (may take several minutes).

10.   Once the update is complete, restart your watch byholding down the top left button for 5 seconds to turn it off, then pressing itagain for 5
   seconds to turn it back on.

11.    If the device does not update successfully, retry steps 1to 10. If the problem persists, contact Sureshot Support.

NOTE: Updatingyour AXIS Watch software requires your smartphone to have an internetconnection.

UPDATING COURSE DATA

The AXIS Watch can be connected to a smartphone via the MGI& Sureshot mobile application.
By connecting your AXIS Watch to your smartphone, you can update your watchescourse data.

1.     Ensure your smartphones BLUETOOTH is on.

2.     On the AXIS Watch, go to the MAIN MENU > BLUETOOTH > ON.

3.     Launch the MGI & Sureshot app.

4.     Log in or register as prompted by the app.

5.     On the MGI & Sureshot app home screen, press PAIR DEVICE.

6.     The watch will display a numerical code. Enter this codeinto the app as instructed.

7.     Once paired correctly, your smartphone app will display aconfirmation.

8.     On the MGI & Sureshot app home screen, press UPDATE COURSES.

9.     Search for the course that you would like to update.

10. Tap the course to begin downloading the updated coursedata (may take several minutes).

11. If the course does not update successfully, retry steps 1to 10. If the problem persists, contact Sureshot Support.

NOTE: Updatingyour AXIS Watch course data requires your smartphone to have an internetconnection.

PLAYING A ROUND OF GOLF 

NOTE: You must be within 5km/3mi of the golf course forthe AXIS Watch to pick up the GPS signal. Before you can play golf, you mustwait for the device to acquires the GPS signal, which may take up to severalminutes. Weather conditions and man-made structures may interfere with the AXISWatch acquiring the GPS signal. Please ensure you are outside in a wide, openspace before entering PLAY GOLF.

 

To play a round of golf using the AXIS Watch:

1.     Go to the MAINMENU > PLAY GOLF

2.     The AXIS Watch will automatically search for golf courseswithin 5km/3mi of your location (this may take several minutes).

3.     The AXIS Watch will locate nearby courses, and displaythem on the course list.

4.     Select the golf course you wish to play from the courselist.

5.     The AXIS Watch will prompt if you want to score duringyour round.
(Can be toggled ON/OFF from the PLAY GOLF menu)

6.     If you having SCORINGturned ON, the AXIS Watch will askyou to confirm PAR.

7.     If you having SCORINGturned ON, the AXIS Watch will askyou to enter your HANDICAP. Forproper scoring, you will need to enter your course adjusted handicap.

8.     The AXIS Watch will now show the distances for Hole 1. Ifyou are starting on a different hole, use the UP and DOWN buttons to switchbetween holes.

CHANGING THE COURSE 

If you have incorrectly chosen a golf course from thecourse list, you can change the course manually.
To change the course:

1.     MAIN MENU >CHANGE COURSE > SELECT COURSE.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

3.     Set up your new round of golf as normal.

CHANGING PAR

If you have incorrectly chosen the wrong par for yourcourse, you can change it manually either from the MAIN MENU or within the PLAYGOLF menu.

To change the par from the MAIN MENU:

1.     MAIN MENU >SETTINGS > PAR.

2.     Choose MENS orWOMENS.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

To change the par in PLAY GOLF menu:

1.     PLAY GOLF MENU> PAR.

2.     Choose MENS orWOMENS.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

DISTANCES VIEW 

Once in PLAY GOLF,the watch will default to the DISTANCESscreen.  

On this screen the watch will display in real time thedistance from you to the front, centre & back of the Green. This screenwill also display the hole number and par at the top of the screen. Once inPLAY GOLF mode, the time will toggle between the day time (BLACK) and yourround time (BLUE) at the bottom of the screen every 5 seconds.
NOTE:Because pin locations change, the device calculates the distance tothe front, middle, and back of the green, but not the actual pin location.

MEASURING A SHOT

While playing a round of golf, you can measure thedistance of your shot.

1.     In PLAY GOLF,go to the DISTANCESview.

2.     Press the SHOT button.

3.     Hit your shot.

4.     Walk to your ball.

5.     View the distance on your watch.

6.     Press the SHOT buttonto stop or reset the measurement.

GREEN VIEW 

This screen will display the realistic shape of the greenand the distance to the centre of the green. This screen will also display the holenumber and par at the top of the screen and will toggle between the currenttime and your round time (every 5 seconds) at the bottom of the screen.
To access the green view:

1.     In PLAY GOLF, goto the DISTANCES view.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton once.

NOTE:Because pinlocations change, the device calculates the distance to the middle of thegreen, but not the actual pin location.

 

To disable green view from the MAIN MENU:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SETTINGS > GREEN VIEW.

2.     Choose On or OFF.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

To disable green view from the PLAY GOLF MENU:

1.     PLAY GOLF MENU> GREEN VIEW.

2.     Choose On or OFF.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

HAZARDS VIEW

This screen will display up to 4 main hazards per holeand show distance to the front of the hazard. This screen will also display thehole number and par at the top of the screen and will toggle between thecurrent time and your round time (every 5 seconds) at the bottom of the screen.

To access the hazards screen:

1.     In PLAY GOLF, goto the DISTANCES screen.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton twice.

Each hazard has a measurement adjacent to it. Thismeasurement indicates the distance to the front of the hazard. Each hazard hasan arrow adjacent to it. This arrow indicates the direction of the hazard itsignifies.

ß Indicates that the hazard is to theleft of the fairway or green

à Indicates that the hazard is to theright of the fairway or green

â Indicates that the hazard is in thepath to your target

á Indicates the distance to carry ahazard that is in the path to your target

 Indicates the distance to a water hazard

 Indicates the distance to a bunker.

 Indicates the distance to the end of thefairway.

If there are more than 4 hazards for a hole, the 4most important hazards as determined by the course mappers are displayed. Ifthere are no hazards for a hole, no measurements will appear on this screen. 

SCORING

To turn on SCORING:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SCORING > ON

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to save the change.


When SCORING is enabled, you will be prompted to enteryour previous holes score when you reach the following holes tee box.

To enter a hole score manually, or update a different holescore:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SCORECARD > SELECT HOLE.

2.     Update the score of the hole using the (➕➖) buttons.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save the score.

SCORING can be turned on or off any time during a roundby:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SCORING > ON / OFF

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to save the change.

 

NOTE:If SCORING is turned off during a round,then turned back on in the same round, all previously entered hole scores willbe permanently lost.

AUTOMATIC HOLE ADVANCE

The AXIS Watch will auto-advance to the next hole onceyou have moved from the current holes green to the following holes tee box, if SCORING is turned off.
If SCORING is turned on, once at thefollowing tee box, the watch will prompt you to enter your score for theprevious hole. After which the AXIS Watch will automatically advance to thenext hole.

CHANGING HOLES

You can change the hole you are on manually from eitherthe DISTANCES, GREEN or HAZARDS screen.

To change the hole:

1.     Press the UPor DOWN button to toggle through thecourse’s holes.

2.     The hole number you are viewing and par for that hole willbe shown at the top of the screen.

ROUND SUMMARY

The AXIS Watch will display a summary of your round ofgolf after exiting a round of golf. This summary includes:

-         The date

-         The golf course name

-         Your net, gross & Stableford scores (if HANDICAP is turned ON)

-         The current time and the round time (alternates every 5seconds)


To view your round summary:

1.     In PLAY GOLF,go to MAIN MENU > EXIT ROUND.

2.     You will be prompted to enter the score the hole you are currentlyon.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your score.

4.     The round summary will appear.

5.     Press the UPbutton to save your score to your saved scorecards or press the DOWN button to delete the round fromthe AXIS Watch.

SAVED SCORECARDS

The AXIS Watch is designed to save up to 10 scorecards onthe device.
To access your scorecard history:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> HISTORY > SELECT SCORECARD.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to view the scorecard.


You can also change the score within a saved round:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> HISTORY > SELECT SCORECARD.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to view your selected scorecard.

3.     Update the score of your selected hole using the (➕➖) buttons.

4.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your score.

NOTE: If youalready have 10 saved scorecards on your device, 1 must be deleted before beingable to save a round in progress.

ENDING A ROUND

To end a round ofgolf:

1.     In PLAY GOLF,go to MAIN MENU > EXIT ROUND.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to exit your round.

 

NOTE: if SCORING is turned on and you do notsave your round summary, all data will be permanently lost.

SETTING THE COLOUR THEME 

Your AXIS Watch is pre-set with multiple colour themesfor you to choose from.

To change the colour theme:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SETTINGS > THEME.

2.     Choose a colour option

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

CHANGE UNIT OF MEASUREMENT

You can change your AXIS Watch between Metres or Yards.

To change the unit of measurement:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SETTINGS > UNIT.

2.     Choose METRES or YARDS

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your change.

AUTOMATIC BACKLIGHT 

Your AXIS Watch has an inbuilt haptic recognitionfunction which will automatically turn the backlight on for 10 seconds. Thebacklight will remain illuminated for 10 seconds, or until a button is pressedwhich will illuminate the screen for a further 10 seconds.

To activate the automatic backlight:

1.     Gently tap the watch face with your finger.

2.     Raise the watch from your side up to your eye-view.

3.     Alternatively, you can manually turn on the backlight bypressing any side button.

NOTE: Repeateduse of the backlight function will drain the battery faster. When in PLAY GOLF mode, only gently tapping thewatch face with your finger will illuminate the backlight.

 

ALARM

You can set an alarm on your AXIS Watch.

To set an alarm:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> SETTINGS > ALARM.

2.     Press the top left button to toggle the alarm ON.

3.     Update the time of your alarm using the (➕➖) buttons.

4.     Press the SELECTbutton to save your alarm time.

5.     An alarm icon will appear at the top of the watch facescreen when the alarm is active.

WATERPROOF

Your AXIS Watch is waterproof with an IPX6 rating.However, it is recommended you do not fully submerge your device.

BATTERY 

Your AXIS Watch has a rechargeable internal lithiumbattery.

When fully charged this battery will give you an estimatedminimum:

-         12 hours in PLAYGOLF mode

-         1 month in TIMEmode

To check the battery percentage remaining on your device:

1.      Go to MAIN MENU > BATTERY.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to view the remaining charge on your device.

RESET

FACTORY RESET

To reset your AXIS Watch:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> RESET.

2.     Choose RESET.

3.     Press the SELECTbutton to reset your device.

NOTE: Resetting your AXIS Watch will reset the date and time.


HARD RESET

If you are unable to factory reset your device or the deviceis unresponsive:

1.     Hold down the top left, top right, bottom left and bottomright buttons all at once for 10 seconds.

2.     The device will turn off and reboot.

3.     The device will turn back on and be reset.

4.     If your AXIS Watch is still unresponsive, try again

NOTE: Resetting your AXIS Watch will reset the date and time.

ABOUT THIS DEVICE

To view your AXIS Watch device information:

1.     Go to MAIN MENU> ABOUT.

2.     Press the SELECTbutton to view the device information.

SYSTEM SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS

To ensure your watch can update course data and updateits internal software via the MGI & Sureshot mobile application, the mostrecent iOS & Android operating systems are recommended to be installed onyour smartphone.

CLEANING YOUR DEVICE 

It is recommended that you clean your watch after every round of golf played using the device.

To properly clean your AXIS Watch:

1.     Gently wipe the entire watch with a damp cloth (wateronly)

2.     Do not expose your AXIS Watch to any chemicals, such asgasoline, cleaning solvents, acetone, alcohol, or insect repellents. Chemicalscan damage the seal, case, and finish of your watch.

3.     To preventcorrosion of the watches charging plates, clean the charging plates using adamp cotton swab with water only, then pat dry before charging.

REPORT MAPPING ISSUE

The Sureshot AXIS Watch has global customersupport and service to help you get the most out of your device.

If you experience a course mapping issue ofany kind:

1.     Launch the MGI & Sureshot app and log in or register.

2.     Choose SUPPORT.

3.     Choose REPORTMAPPING ISSUE.

4.     Select a course.

5.     Fill out the form and press SUBMIT.

DISCLAIMERS

·        Images on the AXIS Watch may change after softwareupdates.

·        Please remove all stickers from the watch.

·        Do not attempt to open the AXIS Watch. Risk of explosionif battery is replaced with incorrect type.

·        Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or service thedevice. There are no customer serviceable items in the unit.

·        The device contains a rechargeable lithium ion battery.Lithium ion batteries can explode or catch fire if not properly stored, chargedand             handled correctly.

·        Do not attempt to open, disassemble, or service theinternal battery.

·        Do not crush, puncture or short the battery’s externalcontacts.

·        Do not expose the device to temperatures above 140ºF / 60ºCor below 14ºF / -10ºC.

·        Do not leave unit in a hot car.

·        Do not expose the device to high moisture surroundings.

·        Do not completely submerge the device.

·        To store the unit for long time, discharge to 50%capacity, then store in a dry and low temperature place and fully charge theunit every 3             months.

·        If using a car charger, disconnect the device whilestarting the car.

·        Properly recycle or dispose of device. Do not dispose infire or water.

By using this product, you agree that SureshotTMPty Ltd will not be held legally responsible for any injury or damage to you orany person or property caused by the user’s improper operation and/or poorjudgment while using this product. Note: See Limited Warranty for otherlimitations to our liability.

LIMITED WARRANTY 

SureshotTM Pty Ltd (“SS”) warrants thatproduct delivered in this package will be free from material defects for one(1) year following the date of purchase from SS or its authorised reseller. Forthe purpose
of this warranty, “material defect” means any defect in a SS product that canbe reproduced by SS and is a substantial nonconformity from the publishedspecifications for such product. SS shall not be responsible for any loss ordamage whatsoever resulting from any defect in or associated with its productswhich occur or are notified by the purchaser to SS or its authorised repairermore than one year from said date of purchase.

This Limited Warranty does not apply to normal wear andtear or if any component of the Sureshot hardware is opened or repaired by an unauthorisedperson or company, and does cover repair or replacement of any Sureshothardware damaged by: MISUSE, MOISTURE OR LIQUIDS, EXPOSURETO HEAT,

ACCIDENT, ABUSE OR NEGLECT. Dropping your Sureshot canpermanently damage the GPS antenna and receiver, which is not covered under theterms of the Limited Warranty.

This Limited Warranty does not cover physical damage tothe surface of the AXIS Watch, including cracks or scratches on the LCD screen.Neither the manufacturer or distributor or reseller shall be responsible fordata that may be damaged or lost at any time. As the SS may gain informationeither through USB or wireless technology, we cannot guarantee the successfultransmission of information.

This Limited Warranty does not extend to any defectswhich have been caused or contributed by neglect, misuse or accident, nor inrespect of product which has been altered by other than authorised SS personnelor its authorised repairers. The determination as to whether the terms of thiswarranty are to apply to returned products is within the sole discretion of SSor its authorised repairer. Provided any returned product is determined to becovered by this warranty, SS or its authorised repairers shall at SS’s solediscretion, repair or replace, free of charge, any products or parts thereof.In no event whatsoever shall SS be liable for any incidental, special orconsequential loss or damage resulting from the purchase and/or use of itsproducts howsoever caused and howsoever claimed. Any liability on SS under thiswarranty in respect of any repair and /or replacement and/or any actioninvolving any of its products shall be limited to and not exceed the purchaseprice of the product in question. The terms of this warranty are subject torelevant provisions of
any Federal, State or Municipal law. Any dispute or action in relation to thiswarranty or the construction of
it shall be subject to and conducted in accordance with the laws of Victoria,Australia. Before returning any product, contact the SS Customer Support Groupand obtain an RA number. Visit the SureshotTM web sitewww.sureshotgps.com for support contact details. If the Customer Support Groupverifies that the product is likely to be defective they will issue an RAnumber to place on the outer package in which the product will be shipped. SScannot accept any product without an RA number on the package. Warranty returnsmust also be accompanied by a copy of the dated proof of purchase. Deliver theproduct along with the RA number to SS. If you ship the product you must assumethe risk of damage or loss in transit.

You must use the original container (or the equivalent)and pay the shipping charge. SS may replace or repair the product with either anew or reconditioned product and the returned product becomes SS’s property.
SS warrants the repaired or replaced product to be free from material defectsfor a period of the greater of
(i) ninety (90) days from the return shipping date; or (ii) the period of timeremaining on the original one (1) year warranty. If there is any inconsistencybetween this Limited Warranty and any Warranty included in the packaging of theAXIS Watch, the provisions of this Limited Warranty shall apply.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. This warranty is in addition to other rights and remedies available to the consumer under law. The consumer is responsible for expenses associated with a warranty claim. To make a warranty claim, cease using the goods immediately and contact SS directly using the contact details on the back of this User Manual. Proof of purchase is mandatory.

Declaration of Conformity
