How often should I service my buggy?

It is recommended to service your buggy every 6 months or every 250km to ensure optimal performance of your buggy.

Please see the Preventative Maintenance Program that can be found in your user manual.

Approved service centre locations can be found on the MGI website or by contacting us.

Why is there only two battery bars displaying on my battery indicator when fully charged?

The latest software has two bars to indicate battery level. The top bar (blue) and the bottom bar (red)

This is to provide a more accurate reading of the batteries level.

Lithium batteries do not behave in the same manner as SLA batteries.

SLA batteries will give an accurate reading using the four bar system when a lithium battery gives a more accurate reading using a two bar system.

The two bars are illuminated whilst the battery has between 25% and 100% capacity.

When the capacity drops to 25% then the bottom red bar is only illuminated.  You will have roughly 30 minutes of play left.

When charging my remote, why is the left hand LED on the MGI navigator quad GYRO remote flashing not the right?

When your remote battery needs recharging the RIGHT LED will flash red.

When connected to the charger the LEFT LED will flash green. If battery is very low RIGHT LED will flash red before the LED on the LEFT will begin flashing green.

To check the level of battery life in your remote control connect buggy to power. Press a button on the remote to ensure connection with the buggy. The battery indicator will display remotes battery level on the top of the screen.

What is the weight of my buggy?

The weight of your buggy varies between models.

Navigator Quad Gyro: 13.5kg

Coaster Quad Brake, Hunter Quad: 13kg

Ryder Tri Compact & Terrain Tri Brake: 12.5kg

Do I need to charge my new battery?
Yes. Charge your new battery for at least 8 hours or overnight before use

Where do I find my serial number to register my buggy?

It is 15 digits long and comprises of letters and numbers e.g. ANQV01234567890

The serial number on your MGI Quad or Tri series can be found in two locations on your buggy:

1. Inside the top box storage compartment.
2. Under the chassis on the left side.

IMPORTANT: There are 2 versions of the MGI Quad Navigator Gyro
Pre-2019 (V1) e.g. ANQV01234567890
Post-2019 (V2) e.g. AQNV01234567890

There is no battery indication displayed on my top box
Unfortunately with the larger capacity battery the battery indication on your top box is now not visible when fully charged. However, after a number of holes the battery indication will appear. It will show a maximum battery capacity reading. It will then operate as normal.
